My Iced Tea
Several people have asked me how I make my tea. I think that the secret is boiling the water and pouring it over the tea bags and sugar and then allowing it to steep for at least five minutes before adding water.
Ingredients:
5 Family size tea bags
1 ½ Cups sugar
Boiling water to fill ½ of a pitcher (about ½ gallon of water)
Water to fill the pitcher
Drape tea bags over pitcher so that the tea bags are inside the pitcher and the paper is on the outside. Add sugar to the bottom of the large pitcher. (1 ½ to 2 gallon pitcher) After water boils, add to pitcher and stir sugar until it dissolves. Place the lid on the pitcher and allow it to set and steep for at least five minutes. Fill the remainder of the pitcher with water and stir again.
We also enjoy adding things such as:
Mint, peaches, oranges, and of course lemons.
Enjoy
